I’ve joined AIESEC Timisoara in 2002 during all the college years, coordinating projects, attending different conferences and developing partnerships with other institutions. More than all these, I’ve become the President of AIESEC Timisoara and Vice President in the National Team of AIESEC Belgium. With the AIESEC support I’ve also written my diploma thesis in a Polish consulting enterprise. In present time I work at Microsoft in Egypt where I develop and implement strategies and projects meant to contribute to the country’s social-economic enlargement with the help of Information Technology. With every single project I have done, I gained more self-confidence, I’ve enlarged my horizon and I’ve become more ambitious. The people I’ve met in the AIESEC network is exceptional, as we’ve bonded very well and some of them have been true role models and mentors to me. |

Back in 1991 I was a disappointed student in my 2nd year college at the Faculty of Economics Science, and who was also extremely bored and angered with what the educational system was proposing. And in the exact same moment an opportunity came which took all my attention for the next three years: AIESEC, a little “international tribe” where you can significantly develop yourself and where each “drop” of leadership can seriously increase. And that is because all you do is learn, learn and learn: how to organize projects, to motivate and lead people, create a team, represent your country, understand other cultures, enjoy the success, and aim high. When you are young and you feel that you need something to speed up your life, AIESEC is that “something” that can fulfill all these. |

To me AIESEC was a new beginning. A place in which I had the opportunity to learn what a real project means, what is a business, face challenges, big failures, but also big successes. All of my friends say the same thing about the organization: that is a place where you can feel a powerful organizational culture, a place where values come first and an environment where you can grow both, professionally and personally. I try not to use big and fancy words, but AIESEC has offered me what I needed at that moment in my life. It gave me an international exposure, new friends, professional experience, the opportunity to work for an year and a half in totally different cultures (Sri Lanka and Egypt) with extraordinary people. In a few words, AIESEC has offered me the Lifetime Experience. |
