Global Internship Program – "Exchange"

Professional internship is the most intense learning experience that we offer and links together our global network. Each year, we provide over 10,000 members the challenging opportunity to live and work in a foreign country in areas of management, technology, education, and development.

 

Types of internships

  • Management (MT) – these internships cover the area of administration, finance, accounting, marketing, project management, PR and HR. The minimum duration of these internships is often of 4 months. Previous working experience in the same work field is preferred.
  • Technical (TT) – these internships are related to development within web, engineering(civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical) as well as management and software, network and databases. These internships are often with a minimum duration of 4 months. Previous working experience in the same work field is preferred.
  • Development (DT) – these internships involve working for NGOs related to a wide variety of issues in community development such as environmental projects and social issues. These internships vary in length and the intern will usually have the living expenses covered.
  • Education (ET) – these internships are within the areas of teaching, curriculum development, promotion and counseling in the educational sector. The intern is often required a pedagogical module. These internships range from 6 weeks up to 18 months.

 

Pricing

  • For MT/TT there is a fee of 250 Euro paid in two installments: first one (100 Euro) is paid when you have been selected for the Global Internship Program; and the second one (150 Euro) is paid when you have been accepted for an Internship abroad.
  • For DT/ET the fee is 100 Euro paid in two installments: first one (50 Euro) is paid when you have been selected for the Global Internship Program; and the second one (50 Euro) is paid when you have been accepted for the internship

 

Details and logistics

  • Duration: 6 weeks to 18 months
  • Salary covers living costs except some development internships
  • It takes between 2 – 6 months to find an internship and complete the selection processes
  • For MT and TT a previous working experience in the same work field is preferred (a min. of 3 months). For ET the pedagogical module is a requirement in most of the countries. or DT there are no other requirements except good English knowledge and communication abilities.
  • AIESEC doesn't facilitate you remaining in that country or getting a permanent job – that only depends on the company and your own achievements.
  • Transportation is not included
