A taste of Asia

A lovely evening with traditional foods and clothes from Philippines, Malaysia and India. This was the event “Taste of Asia” on 19th October in Carturesti Library from Unirii. The view? A colorful evening, with lots of guests, tea, spicy food, sparkles, exotic pictures and unforgettable stories. The exchange participants, Deea, Oana and Sonia, who worked in the Asian countries, shared their stories and experiences with the students, making one incredible evening with real Asian taste.

 

AIESEC Academy

Over 70 participants, workshops on IT and marketing, 4 companies, AIESEC Academy was a blast.

Between 15-16 Octobers, the students from Polytechnics and West University had 2 days of practical learning on 2 areas: IT and Marketing. The workshops were prepared by our partner companies: ACI Worldwide, Auchan, Aquatim and BRD Groupe Societe Generale.

 

GROW 1.0 and 1.1

GROW’s target is represented by highschool students, offering them trainings delivered by intenational trainers, with the aim of making them more aware of themselves and their development.

The 1.0 and 1.1 editions were dedicated to the highschool students from the X and XI grade. The project called GROW, organised by AIESEC together with Scoala de Valori reunites the highschool students from Timisoara with the aim of a varied development, on areas such as project management, personal efficiency and personal values. International volunteers delivered the trainings for the participants for two weeks.

Money Sense

Money Sense has the purpose of educating young people in the financial area and develop their financial skills, by increasing their awareness regarding the basics of starting a business or a bank account.

The second program organized by AIESEC together with the Royal Bank of Scotland Romania is Money Sense, a project dedicated to financial education for highschool students.Some of the themes debated during its trainings were related to the way in which a loan from the bank should be made, how to start a business and organize your expenses and on how to handle your bank account.In Timisoara, the trainings were held by trainees from Georgia and Poland, for a period of two months. 2 luni participanţilor proiectului.

Sustainability Education Program

The program on sustainability had the purpose of convincing the students about the role of recycling in maintaining the planet’s health.

AIESEC Timisoara together with the Royal Bank of Scotland Romania have started the project of sustainable education and for the students who are interested in recycling, a clean environment and who want to have a positive impact in society. Between the 20th April-16th May, in Timisoara, took place the trainings held by two internationals from Vietam and Georgia.The participants learned new methods of recycling, reusing used materials, reducing the daily consumption, etc.

Maia Morgenstern and multicularity in the Romanian context

The project “The Alliance of Civilizations” has brought the local students face to face with Maia Morgenstern and Peter Wells, in order to discuss and share thoughts about the importance of multiculturality nowadays.

In collaboration with The Alliance of Civilisations, AIESEC Timisoara had the honour of invinting the city’s students to take part in a debate about multicurality in the Romanian context. The special guests of this event were Maia Morgenstern- actrice and Peter Wells- UNESCO representative. The two spoke about the importance of intercultural communcation from the viewpoint of acting , but also the importance of an alliance among nations, in the context of intercultural communcation. The guests answered to all the students questions for an hour, the event closing with a few interviews for the local press. The project “The Alliance of Civilisations” aims at a multicultural development in the cultural, scientific and educational field , with a view to eliminate all bias related to the difference between cultures.Also, it aims at encouraging students’ mobility , who can grow within a richer cultural background. The desired result is a greater accent on multiculturality , for a better understanding of religion, traditions and other nations.

 

17 years of leadership, 17 years of multiculturality

For 17 years, AIESEC promotes multiculturality and the opportunities given to students , and this special day has been highlighted through a series of cultural events.

This year, AIESEC Timisoara has celebrated “17 years of Opportunities and Multiculturality” by organizing three events :a World Caffee and a press conference that took place at the Carturesti library between 12-14 April and a cocktail in the 15th of April at Adam Muller Guttenbrun.The guests present at this event were alumni AIESEC Timisoara, representatives of local NGOs and partner companies such as Auromedia, ACI Worldwide, Netex Consulting, Incubatorul de Afaceri, Libraria Cărtureşti, Soft Net Consulting, Tender Group and 3 Waves.

AIESEC University

AIESEC University aims at offering students the chance to learn more about one of the three directions: IT, Sales and Marketing.

For the second year in a row, AIESEC University promotes a model of complete and relevant education.The project consists of 3 weeks of trainings and 3 weeks of practice provided by the partner companies , for the participants.The three schools, IT School, Sales School and Timisoara Branding reunited 80 students and 13 companies and contributed to the major impact of AIESEC University in the professional development of the local community.
